Background & Experience
Wang Yi En
Founder
Hi, I'm Yi En, Founder of Tax Savy. I started my career in corporate tax after graduating from Singapore Management University in 2011 with a double degree in Accountancy and Business Management. In my early career, I spent seven years at EY and KPMG Singapore, focusing on tax compliance, reporting, and managing tax controversy. I was fortunate to have early exposure to tax preparation software which gave me firsthand understanding of how desperately tax professionals needed better tools to move away from manual spreadsheets and to improve productivity.
In 2018, I took a leap into entrepreneurship and co-founded a fintech company in Myanmar. Over two years, we grew rapidly and were eventually acquired. During that journey, I led the team in designing, developing and launching our proprietary digital loan management system, which enabled digital onboarding for customers.
Today, I combine my strong tax background with hands-on entrepreneurial and tech experience to help tax professionals get more done, faster. With Tax Savy, we are building a platform that is not just reliable and secure, but flexible enough to keep up with the complexities of ever-changing tax rules and regulations.
